COSMIC X ART MUSE

A collaborative editorial shoot that taps into celestial vision with a Modern Art focus. It was born from a desire to showcase intimate weddings in a cold-climate wine bar that is both uniquely Tasmanian & deeply influenced by life in Hobart. The incredible Institut Polaire in Salamanca, Hobart, provided a cool & textured blank canvas that shone through in both minimalist & maximalist conceptual settings. Colour, fluidity, drama, movement & light were our muses - and this shoot is a celebration of cosmic collision. Think the big bang, but with vibrant florals & brutalist textures. 

My intention for this shoot was to push myself creatively. I took some photos with a cheap point & shoot digital camera from 2007 for a fun nostalgic vibe & I also used a lot of direct flash for a documentary/candid style to my images.
